PRE

CARE

Skin should be healthy, blemish and sunburn-free to undergo microblading.

  • Discontinue use of glycolics, vitamin c serums, or retinoids, 30 days prior.

  • Refrain from drinking alcohol and caffeine, or taking blood thinning medication 24 hours prior.

  • Treatments such as lasers, peels, waxing, botox etc. should also take place at least 30 days prior.

AFTER

CARE

Please read all instructions to ensure you can commit to the microblading process. How you care for your fresh brows greatly affects the healed outcome.

  • Blot brows with cleansing wipe provided every 20 minutes for 2 hours post-treatment.

  • Wash with unscented antibacterial soap, warm water, and pat dry with clean paper towel.

  • Gently wash your brows twice daily using your fingers, sterile water, and unscented antibacterial soap. Pat dry with clean paper towel.

  • Apply a thin layer of the ointment provided [ AND NOTHING ELSE ] with a clean Q-tip twice daily.

  • Keep your face directly out of the shower stream, and do your best to carefully wash hair and keep face as dry as possible.

  • Do NOT apply any cosmetics to your brows for AT LEAST 10 days.

  • If you experience scabbing, flaking, or peeling,  do not pick, and allow the scab or dry skin to come off on its own. If scabs come off prematurely, the pigment will come out with it!

  • No heavy exercising, sweating, swimming, tanning, or facial treatments for at least 7 days post procedure. This is crucial for the best color and detail retention!

post

care

Continued care contributes to effective long-term microblading retention.

  • Excessive exposure to the sun can cause fading overtime. Once completely healed, apply sunscreen on the treated area. Rinse and dry the area thoroughly when in contact with chlorine.

  • Keep Glycolic acid, retinols, AHA's, anti-aging lotions and serums, microdermabrasion, chemical face peels and laser treatments away from the tattooed area to avoid potential discoloration or fading.

  • Color refreshes are the best way to maintain microbladed brows, and are recommended every 6 or 12 months, depending on lifestyle and skin-type.

  • There are no implied or written guarantees if you do not take care of your tattoo, and everyone will heal a little differently.

HEALING

PROCESS

Like many cosmetic procedures, microblading takes time to perfect. Your tattoo will undergo several stages. Be patient, and TRUST THE PROCESS!

[ Day 1 ] finely detailed, slight redness

[ Day 2-4 ] may become darker as protective layer or scabbing forms. This is only temporary- don't panic!

[ Day 5-12 ] protective layer naturally exfoliates, peels and flakes away over the course of several days as the skin beneath heals. Freshly healed skin has a lighter, waxy coating, making it appear that the brows are too light. Be patient!

[ Day 10-30 ] color will slowly begin to resurface as new skin settles in and heals. True color is apparent after 4 weeks, and will be adjusted during touch up. It’s common for the first application to heal light or have inconsistencies, as this technique rarely heals perfectly. A touch up appointment is essential to tighten shape, darken light spots, assess skin’s reaction to the chosen color, and fully complete brows.
